Where We Are Going

The Sauk Centre Area History Museum and Research Center is currently located on the lower level of Bryant Library at 430 South Main Street.  Here you will find exhibits and photos presenting the story of Sauk Centre and its growth over the decades.  You will also find the research center where  members and the public are assisted with their own historical pursuits.  In 2016 the Mark and Mary Lou Schaefer donated the old creamery building at 214 Mainstreet So. to the Museum.  Through grants, fundraisers and donations we expect a state-of-the-art museum to open in the Creamery in 5-7 years.  Through interactive exhibition design and modern instillation techniques,  The Museum will provide a unique experience for the visitor to Historic Mainstreet and the people and stories which have shaped it.
